Specifically, Abby represents clients in birth injuries and severe injuries involving children; catastrophic auto and motorcycle accidents; medical malpractice and hospital negligence and wrongful death matters. Conducted an independent investigation of sexual harassment claims against Senator Gene Davis by a legislative intern.
Retained by the Utah State Senate to perform an independent investigation of charges of sexual harassment against a Utah Senator by a legislative intern. Tasked with determining on a-more-likely-than-not standard, whether the Senator violated the Senate’s policy against harassment. Conducted interviews with complainant, the accused and other witnesses; reviewed documentation and relevant policies; and concluded that the Senator more likely than not had violated the Utah Senate’s policy.
Participated in the independent investigation of the events leading up to the death of Izzy Tichenor, a Black 10-year old girl who died by suicide. Izzy’s mother had alleged Izzy took her life after she was bullied for her race and disability.
